Leaks and burst pipes

Water on the floor, a ring spreading on the ceiling, or a meter that turns with every tap shut. We find it, cut out the bad run and put in copper or PEX. Most are done in one visit.

Clogged drains and toilets

A sink that drains slow, a toilet that rises when you flush, a tub holding water. Cleared with a snake or a machine, and we tell you if it’s likely to come back.

Water heaters

No hot water, a rumble when it heats, rust in the tap. A thermostat or an element is $180. A new 50-gallon gas tank, permitted, fitted and the old one hauled away, is from $1,850, and it’s usually in the same day.

Main sewer line

Every drain backing up at once, usually into the basement floor drain. We clear the line, run a camera down it and show you the video before anyone mentions digging.

Sump pumps

A pit that fills and a pump that won’t kick on, or one past seven years old. A new pump with a battery backup and a high-water alarm, so a spring storm doesn’t flood the basement.

Boilers and furnaces

No heat, a boiler that bangs, or a furnace that short-cycles, gas or oil. A fall tune-up is $149; repairs are priced on the spot, before we start.

Frozen pipes

No water from one tap on a cold morning. Leave that tap open, keep any torch away from it, and call. We thaw it, check the pipe for splits and insulate the run that froze.

Faucets, toilets and disposals

Fixtures swapped, seized shutoffs replaced, and the plumbing for a kitchen or bath remodel, timed around your contractor. We’ll fit one you’ve bought.

Backflow testing

The yearly test the water company asks for on a lawn sprinkler or a boiler feed. We test it, tag it and send in the form for you.
